Ashram staff, wellwishers & senior students organise relief for Assam bound fearful people from South India due to militant threat

Food is cooked at Gopali Ashram and Jhargram Ashram of Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal since 16th August night। They are offering free service to the North-East brethren in this hour of crisis at Kharagpur Station। They served cooked food, bread, bananas in 3 trains yesterday and two trains since this morning. In two days they served 2500 persons. Thanks to Ashram-Incharge Kushalda and his team of dedicated workers.

IIT Kharagpur students named Vishal, Kanak Kumar, Vivek, etc also participated and provided drinking water bottles and biscuit packets apart from those provided by the Ashram.

165 Bn CRPF organise medical checkup of Hostel children of Gopali Ashram on 13th August, 2012 as part of its Civic Action Program

In the medical camp two doctors were present and the children diagnosed with any medical problem was given free medicine and chocolates.

Drawing, Mahabharat Quiz, Race & Dahi Handi competition sponsored by IIT Kharagpur students on 12th August, 2012

On the occasion of 4 day long Janmastami festivities at the Ashram the following events and prize distribution took place on the sunny Sunday morning.





In 3 groups around 250 children participated in drawing competition, Mahabharat quiz, dahi handi competition & 50m race sponsored by IIT Kharagpur students under banner of their NGO - Kaivalya. Each of them were provided consolation prize of pencil and eraser by the Ashram.

Janmastami 2012 at Gopali Ashram

গোপালী আশ্রম প্রাঙ্গণে সারাদিনব্যাপী জন্মাষ্টমী উৎসব পালিত হয়। উপস্থিত ছিলেন পরিষদের দক্ষিণ বঙ্গের সেবা প্রমুখ, শ্রী কুশল কুণ্ডু, মেদিনীপুর জেলা সহ-সম্পাদক সুবর্ণ পাণ্ডে এবং জেলা সেবা প্রমুখ তরুণ কুমার মাইতি মহাশয়।

সকালবেলা গোপালী সরস্বতী ও সারদা শিশু মন্দিরের ছাত্র-ছাত্রী সহযোগে বিশাল শোভাযাত্রা গোটা গ্রাম পরিক্রমা করে। তারপর পূজা-কীর্তন চলে দিনভর।

রবিবার শিশুদের জন্য মহাভারত কুইজ, অঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতা ও সকলের জন্য দই হাঁড়ি ভাঙ্গা প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন হয়। শেষে ধর্মসভা ও পুরষ্কার বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠান। দুপুরে আশ্রমে অরবিন্দ ছাত্রাবাসের শিশুদের শ্রীকৃষ্ণ জন্মলীলা নাটক ও কৃষ্ণভক্ত সুদামা সিনেমা দেখানো হয়।
